Thunderbird Club

Oh, so that's the trick! Thank you. I did a one year stint in Stratford and went to The Black Country Museum where I had the fish and chips. Out of this world needless to say. When I asked they mentioned the beef drippings. Unfortunately we have to make beef drippings at home since the FDA regulates restaurants so tightly..
Can you not buy it in shops at all? You could use lard at a push (pork fat). At a push you can use vegetable oil but you lose the taste, still nice just not the same

Indecently we're playing very near the museum next Friday

Only a Fender rumble 200 but it's getting miked, apparently the venue have a decent PA of their own, their sound guy is very good or so they say
A good sound guy is a blessing. It's pretty typical to have feedback challenges with the upright, but on occasion, there's a good one running sound and he or she can shake the place with my bass, but no feedback. When there's no DI capacity, it gets much tougher with the upright. With the 'Bird, no problems.

Fingers crossed, it's a new one on me, my amp knowledge amounts to Off/On, Volume and at a push tone and gain :roflmao:

Does anyone actually own a oversized Les Paul, if so is there any chance of some help please?

I need a couple of photos of each side of the neck to show how the body contours change in the last 3 inches before the body and neck meet.
Also two measurements: The maximum thickness of the body (63mm?) and the thickness of the body at the binding behind the bridge (49mm)

I'd be very grateful if someone could help me and I promise not to be rude to you for at least a week :)

Oversized? They make such Les Paul? Thought you were kidding

It's a Dual Showman. If yours is a Blackface (Pre CBS) look at the stamped number on the back of the chassis. That should give you the date with the 7ender cross references online.
If you post a pic we may be able to approximate. These days, you won't find one for under 2k, regardless of condition
Thanks! I'll take a close look on the chassis and maybe post a pic also. She'll be going on the block soon along with my SVT VR. I need to get rid of the things I'm not using much these days to make more room for incoming basses.

GonePlaid swears by those. They have a club in TB
NO! I'm not joining a Fender club, what if it's catching?
