You should put up some demos of your basses. Im really curious to ear how they sound and Ive only found videos of the JAEbird (wich sounded great)Nut is ebony, I just cleaned it up when I dressed the frets. Strings are EXL 165 D'addarios.

Hey everyone,
Recently a pro iv came up for sale near me, trans black active etc. I wanted to get some people's opinion on it. I used to have the lower iv model and enjoyed it enough but found it a little unwieldy. From what I've read the pro iv has a slimmer neck profile and balances better. Also I much prefer the hipshot-ish style bridge to the 3 point (on my last one I had switched the 3 point out for the super tone and it was great).
Tried searching but mostly what I was finding was the CLASSIC pro iv instead of the regular pro iv.
The guy had it listed for 300 with a coffin case that looks a little too big for it. 2 decent chips in the finish. What do you think?
Cool, Im looking forward to hearing them. Also how much would it cost to buy a REV and have it shipped to Europe? The site has no information on prices. Not that Im actually going to buy them in a near future. Maybe in a few years, if the price isnt too over the top. The only Gibson TB currently avaiable are 2015 and Im not buying one of thoseThey all use pretty much the same pickups, as you can tell from the JAEbid videos it's an aggressive sound. Same with Thundacoustic. Since we're doing a duo, that's what I wanted. We'll be doing some recording, when that happens I'll get some clips. Thanks for the compliment!
My own bass build ( the "Warbird" ) is complete.
The final spec was
Sapele body with burr-elm veneer wings
Maple neck with maple/block inlay fretboard
Hipshot type 'A' bridge
Hipshot Ultralight tuners
Thunderbucker Ranch 66 pickups
RS components
She sounds EPIC. Tight and punchy with a massive 'open' tone ( and no hum )
Here she is with her Gibbo brothers

Score! The HSC is worth a hundred bucks new on it's own!NBD today...!
Just received the Pro-IV I won on EBay Sunday.
Except for a small ding on the body edge behind the bridge, which is easily covered, it looks flawless and even came with a brand new OHSC without a scratch!
Can't get over I only paid $ 340 for this including shipping!
Will of course need a setup as the neck seems like it's either straight as an arrow or maybe even slightly back-bowed.
Sorry for the crappy cell photo...

I was looking at the REV page which is why I didn't see any prices. Thats actually cheap compared to the new Gibsons. If I had the Gibsons price as budget Id be able to buy yours, get all the upgrades I want for my Epi Classic Pro and Id still have money to spare. Seems like a great alternative. If only I had the money...Prices are listed on the home page in the description for each bass. A REV is $1795 with an additional $100 for Euro shipping. Check above for Darren's impression of ThunderBucker pickups.

Seriously though, nice bass...I was looking at that one and the similarly priced one that ends tonight. Used to be a few trans black pros on ebay every week but not lately...I wonder why Epiphone stopped making them in that color. I guess people will be asking more for them now.
