Thunderbird Club

Making a random drop in. Dude whats the story on that Bird in your avatar?, I dont know about that one.
Random pic offa Google. I was just coastin' around the web, 'bird-watchin', when I came across that thing. When I spotted it for the first time... it was like someone shoved a stick in my front spokes. Left handed 'birds really phuk with my head anyway. Do that other stuff to it & it starts making me twitch involuntarily. I think it's responsible for a nose bleed too...

I recently completed the mods to my Thunderbacker by adding a second Rickenbacker 4003 pickup. The song Stasis in my Sleeping Legion link offers the Thunderbackers sound when it was only a Rick pickup at the bridge and the Birds bridge pickup in the neck position.

So... I just finished listening to "Stasis". What a MASSIVE bass sound!!! I believe you've just caused my unborn Siamese doppelganger's testicles to drop......

Hey Tbird guys. I just won an auction on eBay. I’m wondering what you guys think. $740 shipped. The damage doesn’t look too bad, like as if the fretboard has been knocked up loose from the neck. So, how did I do?

It gets most of its attention randomly throughout the TB threads but I havent played it live yet. It went unnoticed over in the Rickenbacker site, one "like" and it came from a Rickenbacker owning Thunderbird Club member:laugh:. I guess Bird owners are more accepting.

Thanks. I’ve bookmarked this.
I have tried an Ashbory and was tempted.
I you tubed the Hadean brand bass ukes and was quite impressed by those as well. We have a brand “Mahalo” available here which I think is the Hadean.

I get (I think) a good sound out of my Ibanez ABG but if they go Uke I think the visuals would be improved by a bass Uke over my current basses, and to channel @GonePlaid for a moment - space is often at a premium, so there is that.
And then I think stuff it - you know you want an Epi JCB...
I saw your fellow countryman Nathan Walker hoisting The Cup the other night. Every player gets the Cup for a day. Maybe you'll see it!

That very well could be the deal of the century. I suppose it all hinges on exactly what's going on with it, and how well you're equipped to deal with it. I'm keepin' my fingers crossed for ya!:)
