I can't say this version is as cool as Slade's... but it's every bit as surprising (if not more so)...
Here's something a li'l different. This was Dave (Clem) Clempson's band, before he replaced Frampton in Humble Pie. Puts me in mind of Cream, with a "Prog-edelic" twist (do not expect the next song, to sound like the current one. These guys musta had a good dealer).
Kind of coming at this from a goofy angle, but I liked Frampton-era Humble Pie. The man might of made some bad career decisions, but don’t tell me he can’t play that electric guitar.
I’m probably the only person that liked Bowie’s “Never Let Me Down”.
IMHO... there are few people in this world that know how to get what they want out of a guitar better than Pete. That being said... I love Clempson-era Pie just as much as Frampton-era (that don't happen often).
When I owned my EB3 I replaced the original pup with a Dimarzio Model 1. I found a use for my leftover pup.

Well, I dropped the Day Glo Bird off at the luthier to get the repair done. He said for $75 he’ll make it so you won’t be able to tell it was ever damaged. Plus, I had moved the rear strap button to the upper bout ala Nikki Sixx Blackbird, and he’s gonna fill and finish that too. If anyone is tired of the forward tilt thing that my Tbird’s have done, move the rear strap button. It TOTALLY makes the bass hang in a much more comfortable position. I had read that someone had done it on the TB forum, and I tried it on my Heritage Cherry. A total revelation!! It stopped the forward tilt, and still doesn’t neck dive, as long as the forward button is on the heel. Kinda funny, because I did that to my Heritage Cherry Bird way before I got a Blackbird, and when I got the Blackbird I moved the forward strap button to the heel. Lol. But honestly, I find that combination to be absolutely comfortable, and should come that way from the factory in my opinion.
On another note, I don’t know if this is against group or forum rules and if so, please tell me and I’ll delete this part of the post. But, what do you think my 2012 Heritage Cherry Tbird is worth? I don’t need so many basses, and I just like the Blackbird and the Bright Cherry more. I paid $1,599 for it brand new. It’s been gigged, and I’ve drilled to move the rear strap button, but it’s in really good shape. I’m just thinking about selling it. However, if someone has a MK II Nikki Sixx Tbird they’d trade, I sure would be interested.

'Bird prices are strangely inconsistent. If I were putting it on eBay, I'd do an auction & start the bidding at twelve hunnerd bux. Others may disagree...
I don’t HAVE to sell it. It’s not eating anything, but I guess I’m just favoring the other two at the moment. I’d really like someone who appreciates a good Tbird to get it. I know Tbirds are sorta polarizing, and not everyone loves them, but the odd colors and such only come up ever so often.

Haha So far I am. Have a friend coming over tomorrow so we can determine if the neck pickup is actually dead or if the fault is somewhere else along the chain. But it feels nice and I like the finish, wear/buckle rash and all. I like the kind of raw feeling of the neck too. If I change my mind I will let you know.
I said it with half tongue in cheek, and half fingers crossed. Lol. I’m horrible with this gear acquisition syndrome. It all started with one Tbird, and ended up with 3 plus an SVT rig. I need help. Aarrrgghhh!!!
