I know exactly what you mean. It's that "wrong" look us NR fanatics we find so appealing. They can insidiously grow on you... kinda like English Bulldogs..

As long as we are on burials and that kind of thing, I think a proper launch in a really big treubchet would be a good send-off. Not quite the Viking flaming long-boat, not quite the launch into space, but a little of both. As a bonus, a good airborne launch into the ocean feeds the crabs and doesn't take up space the rest of humanity might put to good (or bad) use. A good ride and a spectacle for the audience. There's no downside here.

Insider tip... this Saturday the Tour de France starts and goes on for most of the month of July. Even if you are not a sports or pro cycling fan, the helicopters live footage of the French landscapes/castles etc following the race is well worth watching. The two veteran British commentators (Paul and Phil) are serious history buffs so they know and illustrate eloquently all the details of what you'll see. There's no other event like it - and the word "fan" (fanatic) was probably born at this race.

Totally agree. The visuals are stunning, plus the added bonus of watching some lunatic hurtling down a steep mountain going eleventeen hundred miles an hour. And crazed fans running along side.
