We've seen them a couple of times, they are a truly great live act, very entertaining and come over as a couple of hard working guys who go to work, do their job to the best of their ability and then go home to their wives. We're very lucky that they seem to come to Venue Cymru in Llandudno about once a year. I hope you get the chance soonI would give anything to see the Proclaimers. One of my bucket list bands.
To be fair to Paul Mac he does a very good concert and is worth seeing, he does a full 3 hours of hard graft. The only thing that gets me is that he comes out with the same patter every gig, there's very little ad libbing just a well rehearsed show, same jokes and same finger wagging after Live and let die. He's got a cracking band with him too, I'd have loved to have got tickets to see him againOur stadiums, for both sports and music, operate strangely these days.
They seem to only offer a percentage of good seats in the first few days of sale. So only crappier and just plain crap seats are available to the average punter. Then after enough of those are gone, they release another tranche of good seats.
Got me beat. I normally just give up.
I really wanted to see Paul McCartney last year. Got on first day - eventually - all I could get was the last two rows up in the sky and they wanted more money than I thought reasonable. So I missed out. Guess I need to hope Ringo does a tour soon. Never seen a Beatle in concert. Likely never will.
I now wait and see if there are any clearance tickets a week out. If I’m going to have a poopie seat I’d rather pay less...
What scale is that? I take it you're quite a big guy and the scale isn't something like a 28"?They are just so tiny...can't get used to that scale size..

That's what I thought, it just looks tiny! Our @Chucky Stiletti must be a big guy, I'd better be nicer to him from now onThey're 30" short scale. Just like all EBO, EB1, & Eb2 basses. Also EB3 but it had a run of EB3L for long scale versions if i'm not mistaken.
Yikes! Good luck with that-hope it's something minor.Well pants! My bloody foot is killing me, I got a twinge on holiday and it's been slowly getting worse. I spent about an hour in the workshop today and had to get off it, it's swollen up like a balloonCan't go and get it sorted today in case I can't go to the gig tonight so hospital in the morning for me, not happy
Had an Epiphone EB3L. Loved the sound and thought I'd love the long scale-like my NR TBird and my EB3 combined.(you can see and hear it in our You Tube videos @"Driftwoods of Treasure Coast-Live"). Part of our shtick requires I let go w/ my left hand. It dove like a Dauntless(WWII USN dive bomber). Sold it and got a short scale for some of our tighter venues. Oh, well, live and-hopefully-learn.They're 30" short scale. Just like all EBO, EB1, & Eb2 basses. Also EB3 but it had a run of EB3L for long scale versions if i'm not mistaken.
You might wanna go to your nearest Wal(es)Mart and pick up a stool. I'm getting more and more accustomed to using mine. It wasn't a production model, it was a stool sample. I'll go to my room now.Yikes! Good luck with that-hope it's something minor.
Hope you're better soon!Well pants! My bloody foot is killing me, I got a twinge on holiday and it's been slowly getting worse. Tell me about it! I don't even know what I've done, all I can think of is we did a lot of walking on holiday and I must have pulled a tendon slightly but me being me, rather than rest it for a couple of days I just keep at it and make it worse.Jeeeeez... you & Wendy have been doin' more than your fair share to keep the Welsh medical community flourishing![]()
