Wow! A truly stunning collection! Don't you also have some non-reverse models, too?

And, nice car, too:thumbsup:

I used to have 3, they're gone now - I kinda miss the 8 string every now and then...Jeff Ament owns it presently.

Our Queen is not that kind of girl... :)

You're right Michael, it turns out I don't "go both ways" when it comes to Thunderbirds. :roflmao:
Just great!
Do I spy with my little eye a Fender neck towards the rear of the flock? :)

My Queer "Fenderbird" it's an Epi body with a lefty neck on it, my only project bass.

So my thunderbird gas is strong right now. I was doing my weekly visit on music store sites and these two just happen to pop up at the same time, at the same store, FOR THE SAME PRICE!

I just don't know what to do with my life right now. I'm saving up for an apartment but they look so good

Unless I'm missing something the only thing the blue one has going on is being limited edition. If the white was a stock Classic pro IV it is already much better plus it has a hipshot bridge and different pick ups (which I assume are either the same or better. Why would anyone change for worse?)

Here's the link if you guys want more pics

I would leave the blue like it is because it looks killer but then again so does the white. My problem is I already made plans to buy this baritone guitar( pretty cheap) and I don't have too much available cash for another bass right now. But God I want it so bad

It's Pelham blue. Just a preference thing.

If I got it, I would replace the hardware with nickel chrome and upgrade to thunderbuckers with surrounds.

Didn't someone here do that to a blue Epi? I seem to remember a pic that was stunning.

Forget the baritone guitar and get them both... :)

Great price- particularly if the board is working. What colour is it?
I string my RDs through the body using Fender 7150s- length fine.

look at this

Thunderbird Club | Page 459 | TalkBass.com

considering strings:
It is 34,5" Scale AND it's string thru. The Rotos could work maybe but I wanna Play la bella deep talking rounds which don't come in xtra Long :-/

I measured, the Dean MEtalman V Case will fit with some foam cutting so I will order that case.

Did you happen to document the Fenderbird-ing process? I assume there's a little more to it than bolting a neck on? I have a couple spare P necks around and have wanted to give it a try.

P.S. That's is quite a flock of beauties!

In case Mark didn't keep a record, I saw a thread on another forum. I'll see if I can find it and post a link. From memory, there is a bit of modification work to do to match the Fender neck with the Epi neck pocket and to ensure correct scale length.

Here you go. A few links in this Ozbass thread back to Talkbass threads. I like the use of the Telecaster style P Bass neck- always preferred that headstock to the bigger Fender headstock. As I said in the linked thread, I would like to do a Fenderbird. It is still on my to do list.
