I believe it's actually intended to sit one next to the other instead of stacked.

Take it up with Kid Rock, they're evidently his old cabs.

To be honest, my half half stack was never on stage.....my jcm 800 is modded for studio use, just one speaker out, the second was changed to line out...good for recording, for stage use, if you have a very loud drummer and two guitar players.....not suitable....

This weekend I decided to put together a cheap bass from parts on hand to leave at my drummer's house. My daughter jams with his son on Fridays after school and it's easier to park a bass there. (I'm also going to leave my Peavey Centurion there)
I bolted a $100 Ebay special J neck to a Squier Jag body, painted the headstock black and installed Squier tuners, a P PU of undetermined origina, and a Duncan designed J PU. I had a set of red DRs I bought years ago at a clearance sale:

This picture got me thinking (always dangerous I know):

1) The VP needs a NR friend. The Jag is cool, but a NR bird would be a much cooler companion.
2) I need a reggae bass. Something with a humbucker or two.
3) I don't really need my JBS now that I have the VP and I never really did like that pearl white so selling it is a possibility.
4) What are the choices when you want a NR? I've never seen one for sale locally.

As fas as #4 goes. A 2013 Pelham Blue NR. They show up from time to time here in the classifieds.
There's always a Cataldo build. Or a Lull................

Personally I would try to make a body myself or see if someone else would build body to fit that Jazz neck. Or use the neck on the JBS and sell the body to fund a NR type body. Brad Lowe @BeeTL used to offer NR bodies for good prices. That may be an option.

You may be able to find a Bach in Canada, or maybe one of the Epiphone NR's that you can modify.

Looks like @Nocturnal had a Bach for sale a while back.

I did but it sold a while back.

I think that Black beauty sold back in July, or something like that.

Correct.

4) Well I’m waiting on Epi to do a NR VP in Pelham Blue. If they made me king, I’d order it done. I keep thinking if I say it often enough, it will happen.

I could build one, but won't have time in the near future.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try Brad.
The JBS neck is really nice. Just seems a shame to part out a nice playing bass like that. I might just put it on CL and see what happens.

I’d feel like a kid in a candy store in that room!

I am fortunate to have a music room. It was my wife’s idea to put hangers on the wall. Then a high school friend asked if he could “store” his drums at my house.
I don’t really have any expensive basses, but they are all set up nicely and functional.
