The reverse birds don’t work for me,but i would love to try out a NR someday.
I did use to have 67 Epi Embassy, and have the reissue Embassy Pro now.
I do loves me some Ricks, tho.

Does anyone know if Gibson made a Silverburst Tbird bass in 2007? (I know that Ephiphone did, I'm specifically asking because there is a seller that, as near as I can tell, unless he's really good at Photoshop and has a black US made Tbird to take pictures of the back of, actually has a US made Gibson silverburst bird. I'm inexorably drawn in by the silverburst finish but I can't find any evidence that Gibson did a silverburst. Any help is appreciated

Ol Ged’s got about a half dozen of the NR in different colors in his book, really intriguing.
When i had my ‘67 Embassy,i did notice a difficult reach for the low F, and the same with the reverse birds I’ve played. Wonder if the NR is any different?

I can't say. I've never played a reverse.

You haven’t seen a Coffin Case? They’re cool but huge. I got one for my Flying V (guitar, not bass), and it’s bigger than my Epi TB case.
It's the only factory case I've found that my '67 will fit in. Had to take out the accessory compartment, but that was no biggie. The '67 is longer than my 5 string EpiBird and wouldn't fit into the EpiBird's case. 0330181240-00.jpg Les Paul 5er, '67 NR, Epi 5er

A couple shots from our gig on Weds. Played a cancer benefit for a friend in need. Used the BlackBird for this show. This was our first show playing electric (have played a few acoustic sets over the last few months) and it was a lot of fun!! Hoping for some better shots from some of our friends that were attending.

Blackbird....I’m still curious who else has one besides us. Would love to know production numbers.

What finish is that?

My sizable food blister cauaes that same issue; my birds both tip away. I don't blame them. I blame a lifetime of cheeseburgers and carne asada burritos.

Once you drill a hole in a Gibson, you are liberated and can modify all you want.

That’s why I got one that already HAD a hole drillied in it, then filled and painted poorly with a darker black paint in the shape of an inverted tbird.... cool in a weird way

I need BCRCC3 which is the biggest case coffin case ever made....for my zombie.... can’t find one anywhere

Chuck:

I’ve been thinking you said you have a tbird tuned to bead with heavy gauge strings or what would be an actual 5 string set? Curious about that too.

In any case did you increase the neck relief or just jack the bridge higher?

Like I’ve said before the only reason I can get away with downtuning a 105 e string to b with bridge bottomed out is because the neck relief is so bad.... I really feel like keeping this bass in this tuning... I’d like to correct the neck but know I will have to make adujustments once done. I think it’s bad maintenance to leave your neck up bowed... I believe it can go too far beyond the point that it come back from.
