I am thinking you want to build a FenderBird??

If you need a neck I still have this ESP/LTD neck laying around.

For Sale - 2 Bass Necks
Thats exactly what Im going to do. I have to continue purchasing parts like a bridge, neck, a pickup. Got lots of work to do moving forward with this. Not sure I will be able to tackle it this winter but I suspect it’ll be next.

Thanks Andy @Nocturnal but I have my eye on a neck in NY I want to jabe made. Canary wood FB on Cherry

Billy Sheehan said he fixed a too deep cut G string nut slot by shimming it with a little piece of paper. Temp fix but it doesn't cost you anything. Most of the longer term fixes involve super glue and shavings dust or a nut upgrade. A nupgrade.
For a fix that will last (besides making a new nut), what I have done is shimmed the whole nut up with a piece of business card. Then file the nut slots accordingly.
My brother was a Kitchen installer and gave me pieces of Corian that were leftover or samples in a few colours. I’ll never have to buy nut blanks again.

Whaddya mean, "back then"??

:D
well, I'm going back to the days of broke musicians in So FL when it didn't matter cause most basses wore flatwounds and most still had the mute at the bridge.....so a somewhat muted open string wasn't an issue, probably not the way Chris Squire would have solved this problem....:D

That’s great. I have the Concert for George DVD.
A couple of things come to mind watching that.
* Sad that we have lost 2 more from that stage.
* Doesn’t Jeff Lynne pull off a great “George” when he takes his vocal turn?

And Georges son looks so much like his dad!

Ghs sells bass boomers that are 65 to 130 with bead players in mind.

Only child, and we do presents on Xmas eve cause we make a drinking game out of it and that wouldn't be socially acceptable at 7 in the morning

Started as my dad wanted to open something so he pretended Santa told him we could to years later, my mom waking me up at like 4 or 5 in the morning knowing she would be too hungover tomorrow and if she went to sleep then, there’s no way she’d get back up. To it becoming a night before tradition...

I drop the kiddo at her mother's at noon. Then commences the Xmas of doom, which involves a lot of high volume bass frequencies, several craft beers, some fine single malt, and a bit of top shelf gin. Maybe a few pissed off neighbours (if they haven't wisely gone to visit relatives) and some police presence...

I’m probably about to secure an 18 inch ampeg cab..... and so begins the quest to have two svt4pros, two 810s and 18 and a 15.... two 15s and two 18s would be better....yeah....no goal.... absurdity is kind of my thing.....outdoor only for that rig...

Already have the 4 pro and and the 810

I’m going to Costco...Yikes! Now I have to go to Costco?

Not sure about the question mark but yeah any really popular new book seems to end up at Costco for cheaper than anywhere else.... the price on the book says 93 Canadian
