Thunderbird Club

The Aerostar from the rear, center seat in:View attachment 3408275 lotta room in there. in there in there in there:smug:
Except for my '87 Freightliner, I've had nothing but vans or minivans since 1969.

Something something creepy guy in a Aerostar van...

Actually, now that I think about it, there are unsolved serial killing cases dating back to 1969... I withdraw my creepy comment lest I find myself on the hit list.

I don't think Veronica would be caught dead in a minivan.

Full size or nothing!

As a person who has driven vans for not quite so long, but well over a decade, I have heard all the jokes about free candy and washing out the blood. But, I have a Transit Connect now. It looks like a white high-top sneaker. It's kinda tough to be creepy when you are driving a 2010 Transit Connect, even if you try your hardest.

You may have to stop wearing pants.

Well, I did it. I went down to Emerald City Guitars to see the '64 they have. There are little things, like black knobs instead of gold ones. I assume gold was original. No mute or covers, so far as I know, but there it is, hanging on the wall. So, I took it down and looked all over it. It doesn't appear to have been repaired, although I didn't think to look to see if it has a serial number. The neck is just a bit bigger than a modern 'Bird, or so it felt to my hands. The checked finish felt great. It was a little too intimidating to play - $10K? Um, I'm not going to drop it... The cash OR the bass. Is it worth that much money? I don't know, but it's pretty clear why those are in demand and so expensive these days. It's not just because they are old.

$10,000÷20=500/yr. Doesn't leak oil/require license plates and a good bet to always be worth at least as much as you paid if you tire of it or need to sell. Also less likely to send you to the hospital.

Well worth $1.50 a day. Two are even better. Buy now, they won't be cheaper tomorrow.

Nope, it probably won't be cheaper ever. Oh, well. I had my chance to buy a repaired one for $1500, as I recall. I passed it up because it didn't have a serial number. It seems like that's how most of them are these days. And, another oh, well.

I'm sorry.
