Completely different animals. The plexi is a Mann copy: 2 piece maple neck, 70’s Japanese humbucker at the neck, Schector hot guitar PU at the bridge, a hip shot bridge (the one meant for 60’s Gibson’s) and Dean Markley nickel rounds. So what does the Dan Armstrong sound like compared to your VP?

The sound is clean and articulate even though it’s a short scale. It’s a very comfortable neck(tung oil), but it’s a 10 pounder.
I’m filling in on bass with my daughter’s rock band tonight, so I’ll record with the zoom.
Wonder what sort of rock band my daughter would have ... Death Mousie perhaps? A lot of screaming and on stage gymnastics.
[apologies for cat lady tangent]

Weird place that southern hemisphere.
Stella tolerates the cat:Love the guard dog keeping those pesky cats away from the bird! He/she looks to mean business.
You never know! Mine likes classical music as much as rock.Wonder what sort of rock band my daughter would have ... Death Mousie perhaps? A lot of screaming and on stage gymnastics.

You mean the Ambassador. ;-) Either way, they're all backwards anyway.I used to own an Italia bass. They're MIK, not Italy. They look pretty cool, but honestly? I'd go for the Embassy.
