Yes, there are one or two on that thread that understand Intellectual Property, but the braying masses are just there to bash Gibson. There is a demonstrable lack of understanding of not only all forms of IP and the differences, but also legal process, negotiation, financing, and corporate governance. I'm probably missing a bunch of other areas of ignorance but those are the ones that leap out at me repeatedly.

[sarcasm]Now, back to our routine of 7ender bashing...[/sarcasm]

Aaah! Lunch!
Neighborhood covenant says no rifle or shotgun hunting on the property. I'm not confident in my bow and arrow skills, and a BA handgun would probably cause discomfort with the neighbors.
Twice a skilled bow hunter came to our yard to get a deer, but those days few deer came, and when a legal deer showed up, inevitably a mom was out walking with little kids so the hunter just stayed stealthy.

what/who is that? never heard of her/them....foreign?..

I saw it after watching the Corky Lang vid about FP's T-bird. There's a few versions of Mountain songs by foreign artists/players. Not sure what country they are from.

here's another -

I like her voice and overall delivery, but her phrasing was driving me nuts.

That's what I liked about it - she was doing a good job translating her native tongue to english phrasing nuances but her native tongue still was there.

I meant musical phrasing. (Maybe you did, too.) It was very lyrical and straightforward. That's not bad, but it's so far from how Mountain did the song that it was (for me) distracting.

Yes, to clarify (I hope) :) - I meant to imply that her native tongue sense of phrasing (the unique phrasing of her language which would also be manifested in their music phrasing) still effected/was present in her attempt at English language/music phrasing, which is inherently different from her own. In the 60's, many foreign singers mastered the english (US predominately) language to appeal to the US market. After hearing their song that sounded like perfect english, they would be interviewed and this heavy accent of one sort or another would come out. So as Count Bassi said, untrained (at least if attempting a flawless US/english translation) but delivered with soul and with phrasing reflecting her country's indigenous roots.

I didn't realize she wasn't "English". It was interesting watching her sing, I guess that was why! Enjoyable though, for sure- even rather compelling.

I feel like the neck / fingerboard could be offset a few degrees couter clockwise to offset the tendency of the body to hang with the upper bout drifted away ay a small angle. Not enough to kill it for me although I did briefly entertain the idea of flipping this baby. I think I've got it where I want it now.
I naturally tend to keep my left leg forward (right leg for you), which kind of pushes the body back into me. I also use a cotton strap (MONO Doolittle), which keeps the bass in place better.

I believe Alice just turned 70 recently. I have seen him twice in the last few years and I have to say, that guy BRINGS IT!!! I spoke to him at a mall on black Friday a few years ago and that Alice seems older and hunched over. Nothing like the guy on stage. Super nice guy any time I have encountered him.
One day, years ago, when I lived in Phoenix the first time O was driving along Interstate 10 and saw a Lime Green Rolls Royce, When I pulled up next to it, Alice Cooper was driving, gave hi a beep and a wave. Alice waved back.

And charming as well; "Dusty wodes where they had gone..." :)
