VW went to those larger square profile bumpers and the large turn signals in on most models in 71. I like the earlier ones myself.
My family had a light grey Fastback when I was a kid. I think it was a 69.

Ha! No, I’m still learning the modular stuff, so most of the stuff gets tossed and I start over. I was pleased with the basic concept of something I did earlier, so I sampled all the modular bits into an Elektron Octatrack sampler, so I still have the patches in a sense. They’re just stored as loops in the sampler.

Saw both Winter(s) at the Atlanta Pop Festival 1969. I was not at Woodstock.

I saw them both (separately) in 1974 or 1975 at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium. Awesome concerts.

Indeed. True in my experience. Way too many profs have a "god complex." I think the sorriest lot of people I've ever been around are academics. (Not all, of course.) And I almost became one. Loved doing research and my masters degree was focused in that direction. I planed on doing a PhD, but came to my senses. In part, not wanting to spend that much time around some of the most closed minded and small people on earth.

But also some of the most amazing. There were many at Ga Tech and many more that Dad worked with who made huge differences in my life- both academic and otherwise. I never took a psych course at GT but a couple of psych profs helped me maintain my sanity (not in any ways you might expect. I recently reconnected with one of them on Facebook.

I broke a personality test back in the 80s. They couldn't understand how those results could even exist. It was pretty awesome. The VP was a control freak (I didn't know this yet) and was looking for insights to help her manipulate people. Her response was hysterical, even more so in retrospect.

They are not connecting to anything until I have a pair of Triton Fetheads. These perform a two-fold function:

1. +27dB gain;
2. isolate the ribbon element from +48V 'accidents'/idiocy.

Patience is a virtue, or so I hear.

Already been said and answered but I'll add to the chorus - I bet you get some really cool sounds out of that uberflexible set up. I'll also bet you can't repeat them easily once you tear it down and reconfigure for the next sound. So I assume high quality digital recording of everything is imperative, then use or save each track for a rainy day as needed. Certainly not gonna be part of your live rig.

Very cool, reminds me of the early pre moog days, great for Prog rock.

Yes, a number of us here have Eppi VPs. Everything you've heard about how great they are is absolutely true.

Cool Suburban. I do not recall ever seeing one in the flesh. Gas gauge doesn’t work. So what...you’ll need to fill it up every other day anyway. Beautiful car.
