Fun road trip! When I was a kid in San Diego, more than 50 years ago, we drove out there one day. It was actually pretty cool. I was by there on business about five years ago and it looked pretty sad. Abandoned buildings and about half as much water.

Oh heck yeah!!! Why didn't I think of likely my favorite female singer. Tried to see her a while back but scheduling didn't work out. But on my bucket list. I can listen to Mavis all day--and often do!
BTW: The Staple's songs have some of the best bass recorded. Ever.
