Thanks!I did, got the body n neck of ebay, £65. The neck was good but the the body was a bit damaged so I just messed about with it and it turned out like this. The pups are from china, cost about £11 I think with free delivery.

Bit of video from last night:
Its the only place for them at the mo. been in the new/old house 8 months now and still getting things sorted. Luckily summer so no heating required yet.For what? Keeping cases next to the radiator? We just confiscate your basses.
Also consider SIT Power Steel.I like your playing and tone on this, you're copping Macca pretty well! I still have some experimenting to do regarding strings for my VP, it has DR Hellborgs on it, but while I like those strings they do not sound their best on the VP. Am going to try a set Ken Smith Rockmaster 45-105 on it, as I think the pups will respond better.

Wire one in! There's no blasphemy in making a 'Bird your own.Hmm. . . If they added a 3 - way switch to the T-Bird, problem solved. Of course I'm talking blasphemy here!![]()
Absolutely! She sounds like she's been chewing cement and spitting sidewalk for decades. I can imagine her doing Turtle Blues and slaying it. Move over Janis Joplin! That was cool. I dig the singer, she sounds like attitude dragged though gravel. I like it!
with the exception of the singer (who's married to the guitarist) we all worked as designers at E-mu in the 90's....needless to say, E-mu being a synthesizer/sampler company had a large number of synth music fanatics (many pro musicians as well) in their payroll...Peter Gabriel, Rick Wakeman and others would be at the office often since they all used/endorsed Emulators, Drumulators, Proteus modules etc...that set was slapped together for that year's picnic...those folks are still around and we play at parties from time to time...So where are these peeps now?

poo poo pi doI think @theFixer put it best - It's your bass, you can take a big steaming dump on it for all I care.
Thanks! Macca has a very dead tone on the original, so I had to consciously think about not sustaining notes. Spaces are important....as they say.I like your playing and tone on this, you're copping Macca pretty well! It even feels like it could go down a bit, but when I see it from the audience perspective it looks just right. Thanks for posting that. Cool to see that Thunderbird in action and actually hear the bass in a show!
I might have to see about playing mine lower. Seems like a good fit.
I might just do that!Wire one in! There's no blasphemy in making a 'Bird your own.

Thunderbird in action Saturday....can't say enough good things about the Vintage Pro.

That was great!
A couple close calls between the headstock and the lead singers head.![]()

It is not insanely expensive, and aside from being a bit heavy, it looks like it would be a huge amount of fun to play. Best for some of us to avoid a visit to avoid spending money we don't have. But, you probably do need to visit. It's a royal thing, y'know.I need to visit this thing......

seems like you're craving an 8 string lately..You know...it's pretty amazing..He always knows when to duck. I've never whacked him, however the T-Birds do give me the reach advantage![]()
