Roger that. The sound is much more modern, with less bass and plenty of mid/upper & harmonics.

Oh, Gibson & Epiphone seem to call a vast range of pickups “T’bird +”.

That's what confused me. I hate marketing BS. Name the thing, and use the thing's name for the thing. Not all the things.

So... any idea what the similarities / differences between teh Epi IV (Epi TB+) and CP (Gib TB+) sound is?

On the Border and Roads to Moscow were his songs that caught my attention. RtM never got much airplay anywhere I lived, which was a crying shame.

To my (cloth) ears the Gibson is deep but not as deep as the Epi. A bit more light included in a light n dark mix.

I like the Epi but I like the Gibson more.
