Thunderbird Club

Our official position as per @fasterpussycat:

Well you don't need to have touched, let alone seen, a Thunderbird in the flesh to know they are just awful. Their headstocks pop off when you least expect it, they are really badly made, their pickups produce nothing but mud and raw sewage, they all -- without exception -- are so unbalanced they might as well have a block of concrete chained around the neck ... and they only good for metal.

Important lessons to be remembered. There's the daily:

'How great are P basses?' -- They're pretty damned good and most of my favourite players play one .... but you seem to require a lot of reassurance.

'How great are J basses?' -- now you are really testing my resolve....

Priceless! Thank you, Kat.

The guitarist in my reggae band was an engineer/producer. He used to run a studio with an Ensoniq Paris setup which he has now re-acquired and got running. Anyone heard of it?

This is old gear, but wow does it sound nice and warm! There’s another I/O chassis, so we might set up another rig at my place with an old XP computer I still have:woot:
I've seen that interface up and running somewhere, 90s I think.

... There's also a bad side.
