If you measure across the lower third of the word Orville, using the tail of the 'e' as a guide it's 42mm near enough.

I got a couple billion posts behind...wondering how many smashed headstocks there have been in my absence? I feel bad because I have that rare 2,000’s era Gibson TBird with an intact headstock, great finish and no neck dive. And I don’t even play metal!
Been playing my Fano with ‘Bird pickups a lot lately. Plays and sounds so good

Over in the JC thread the other day, someone was talking about a tort guard. I was extremely well behaved, but between you and me -- oh the humanity!

Who thinks like that? Some kind of childhood trauma no doubt. If tort were never invented the world would be a better place.

I have a white '62 Jazz that it looks decent on--but other things would look better IMO. It's old and original and it's staying as is.

Well yeah, mine is sans pickguard and I just took off the indicator thing under the chicken head knob. I rarely switch it and when I do, it’s not like the numbers mean anything to me.
Hmmm, might go to black speed knobs next.

It is a strange decision. 'Yeah all the ppl who want an ebony finish bass will be dying to have a cream pickup.'

I'm not convinced any of the alternatives -- vinyl wrap, tape, paint -- are durable enough, so I'll live with it.

Somehow I knew you would say that! I don’t have any issue with the chrome 3 point and I’ve already put ultralight tuners on it.

Same here. If it didn’t sound so good, I’d put a chrome Tbird PU in it.

Some mojo you just don't mess with. On the new pedalboard, even though I have two open power jacks in the power supply, I'm leaving the Damnation Audio pedal powered via my tuner pedal since it just sounds so good.

it really isn’t, there are still folks using VT stuff as well as 2” tape for recording...tape overdrives beautifully...the (very expensive) military grade Burr Brown 20 bit (ADC/DAC) converters we used makes for a very noticeable difference to this day..

There is a guy that wrote 64 bit drivers for Paris, so you can run a more modern computer.

You can get a black 3 point (my original plan had mine not come with the Hipshot pre-installed).

What about Plasti-dip. It peels off if you don't like it, and it seems to work fine on automobile bumpers.
