For what it's worth, the Hong Kong Buckers are installed in the 1991. If you use their screws, make sure you drill the holes with a big enough drill bit. I broke off a couple screws for the pickup ring. Fortunately, it was the one that goes under a pickup cover anyway, but forewarned is forearmed. A 1/16" bit may be fine for most screws, but not those.
Initial impressions is that they sound like Thunderbird pickups, just clearer. That's what everyone else says, so nothing new. I will know a little more on Wednesday when I can play it at a rehearsal and see how it works in a band setting.
