Yeah, looked like a nice one. 8.7lbs, fretboard looked like darker rosewood, original style Wilkinson tuners.

Looks great. Sorry you missed out. Keep your eye open. Check Sam Ash for used/demos. I got my white one there for a fuzz over $600 incl tax. Mine had all the stickers and had no indication anyone had ever played it.

Maybe you could see better from the ad, but the tuners look like the second version tuner--since they seem short. The original Wilkinsons were tall like what is on the original '60s basses.

This one was on sale last week, until Saturday. But after my recent move----needed one more pay check to get the disposable cash flowing. I was gonna make an offer for the sale price.

I don't get ebay ads like this one. I like "limited edition" and "rare" in addition to the 1,000 price from Japan. Bad spelling isn't a thing--but they could have just copied everything from 100 locations on the interwebs. I guess if you pay a grand for a VP it would be a rare one, but less so than the person paying that much.

agreed, if I were to just be painting a bolt on I would not sand everything of (bare wood). I would probably take some 150 and give it a good scuffing then move forward from there.

Mother sick, two trips tot he ER and a short stay, dog had surgery and recovering, father-in-law falling and busting his head open, and figuring out how to work every day being an adventure. The '18 White VP is Aug.

My last digits are ......674 on the '17.

Hey T-Bird drivers....question for you!

I'm getting a new Epi Thunderbird Classic Pro in Alpine White, and I'm thinking about changing out the black hardware for nickel or chrome. The bridge is easy, but what about the tuning machines? (I might even refinish the bass in Pelham Blue too, but I digress...)

The question is...if I go with Hipshot USA Ultralite bass tuning machines (mini clovers)...what size? 1/2? 3/8?

3/8 for a Gibson, but I don't know for an Epi.
