Yes it was. I've never had much problem with the 3-Point on my '76, but am glad the incoming Gibson has a Hipshot on it.

I read that the modern 1989 to present Gibson Thunderbird pickups had about three different versions. Can anyone elaborate? I know the 2015s were one version, but what of the others?

I love the smell of nitro in the morning. Sounds really good through that Microtubes. Interesting how he had the tone setting dimmed though..Is that really necessary for an entire, fairly thorough, review?
