Talked my brother into doing Submission. Takes perhaps 10 minutes to learn. Just power chords and attitude.
Cool! I’ve always thought there’s an art to imparting feel into simple songs though to make them sound right.
A band I was in used to do a couple of Ramones covers - I Wanna Be Sedated & I Believe in Miracles - simple songs but if you play them the way Uncle Johnny precribed, downpicking only and constant 8th notes on the hi-hats, at speed, it’s a real stamina test!!!
Find the key and chords and away we go. Pistols songs are easy to learn, fun to play and a lot of them are still relevant today.
Playing Ramones stuff was like running wind sprints. That’s why their shows tended to be pretty short. They weren’t like the Clash who would do a 15 minute reggae jam for a break.
This is one of my Ramones favourites, although I could only find footage of CJ performing it ( not that that’s a bad thing). I love the part where it gets to the break point and he wanders off, swigs a beer and then... 1-2-3-4! I must add this song to my learning list...

And to make it a classic punk trio for a Sunday afternoon, these are two more favourites of mine, the band I was in that did the couple of Ramones covers, also did the Dead Boys “Sonic Reducer”.

I noticed the way that young lady slung her bass that she's a prime candidate for a TBird.
And the most important criterion - playable by those of us who are talent-deficient.
That's OK, we make up for it with volume. And beer.

This is my JC with Labella DTFs. There are no silks, but I spaced the E back with a ball end to keep the overwrap off the saddle.

Hmmm...not able to tell, I don't see enough of it. Maybe someone with better expertise will chime in. I saw an article posted Metal Sludge in 2007 saying his 2 Birds were stolen from him, but no details about the basses.
So much cool stuff in that photo. But what's the fourth knob on the Fenderbird?
Ohhhhh now I see. There were white and black limited edition model's with the chrome guitar pickups. Also the Epi Elitist had the same size pickups but I think those were the same as used in the Gibson LP basses.
My friends son is in the School Of Rock and they mix the students into different bands for different musical styles or if the school has a theme for that days performance. Gives the kids an education in a variety of music.
I didn't know/remember you changed the pickups in this one. Like the Robert Smith decal as well.
I'm holding out for a Gold Bullion with gold hardware and a black pickguard as a Non Reverse match to my Gibby Anniversary Bird...So, I've pretty much decided that I want my Epi RI, VP, NR, TBII/IV in Silverburst.
After the NR purchase it'll be a Gold Top Les Paul solid body and a gold JC hollow body to round out the set.
