I put some GHS Percision flats on the Gibson Thunderbird last night. Sounds like I'm going in the opposite direction I know, but it actually seem to thicken the sound up and make it more full and thick, at least at home. May turn to mud when I use it next weekend, so the experiment continues.
I did email my sales rep at
Sweetwater to see if they happen to have any ProBuckers from a damaged instrument. Told him my situation and just wondered if they happen to have anything like that from time to time. He said is an instrument is badly damaged it normally it does get sent back, but he will look around and also check with the ebay dept as they sometimes sell all the parts, and have them keep an eye out for a set as well. He said they were still working for Home so he doesn't really have access to the physical building.
