I think.sorry guys, top one is a process to clean silicon (wafer) surfaces during semiconductor device manufacture...these semiconductors could be anything from power transistors such as the ones used in bass amps to Intel processors to LEDs or Flash memory etc..

Hummm....* the semiconductor industry manufactures semiconductors by doping pure silicon (or germanium) with heavy metals ( \m/ ). The implication being that various toxic elements have leeched into the ground water.

the bottom is an early tape Echoplex unit that would work by recording and instantly playing back by way of a playback head positioned next to the recording one....playing with tape speed varied length of the delay....crude but pretty badazz...Roger Waters' P going through a couple on this..
