Yikes, slides are gonna be brutal on that neck!
I looked like such a clean break that I think it was at a scarf joint. If that were the case, I would just glue it back together (after removing all the old residual glue). Are you installing any wood dowels or just glue and clamp and hope for the best?
Any particular clamps you endorse?

When I put new strings on, I stretch them reasonably aggressively. I saw how Doug Wimbish stretches his strings and I aim for that. So, the strings 'settle' really quickly.I guess, yeah. I kinda see them as staying pretty stable in their tone from new until they die, for me something like four to five months later.

Yes, I understand the logic of adding a dowel and I don't disagree. But, I also appreciate that if it is a factory scarf joint, that is probably plenty of gluing surface to hold everything together.* It is also a question of goals. Perhaps @KaraQ wants an ongoing source of projects.I'd take the time to dowel it during the glue and clamp portion of the repair so that it all cures together. Maybe overkill but that's how I "build" when doing projects from the jump or repairs.
One of the many cool things about the original Interceptor was how quiet it was stock.Nice - yah, I like a bike that has a nice deep note - but overly loud... no. My cans have a baffle that can be removed but I left them in as they're loud enough for me.

Doing network cabling for decades, it was common to find hand tools like that left in ceilings. I have 3 of those!snip!
into my SVT II with a 1540 fridge...won't be using this rig tomorrow..
Thanks! It’s a very skinny neck, but it was made of 3 pieces, with the center one being quarter sawn. My “Mann Armstrong” has the same construction.Yikes, slides are gonna be brutal on that neck!
Seriously, nice work!
It didn’t look like it needed dowels to me. There seemed to be lots of surface area and it was a clean break. Are you installing any wood dowels or just glue and clamp and hope for the best?

As long as it fits together well, trust the glue!
