Well, talking 'bout Greco TBs, one comes to mind: Does anyone play a Suzi Quatro Greco SB 850? I wonder what it will play like.

I see, she was an actor then.Happy Days was a tv show about some small town kids in the early 60s. American pop culture...
Yea. There are some on ebey for about 500€, I wonder if it's worth it. Can't even get much info about this bass guitar, whether it's a long scale or something smaller. Suzie is so darn small, bass guitars always look so huge hanging around her neck.I always though Suzi was pretty damn cool, evry once in a while one of those Greco's comes up on Ebay.... Interesting headstock, look how far toward the neck the P pup is.
Like a Rick?I*think* the model Suzi is playing is the same scale as the other Birds Greco makes 33 inches and change on the scale length.

)Suzy played Pinky's cousin Leather Tuscadero (sp?)She played Pinky?!?! Never made that connection, oh I had such a crush in her...
Wasnt it portraying the 50's?
I bought them off of Brian Scott owner of the Motley Crue museum. He has a ton of Crue stuff including many of Sixx's basses. He owns the skull bass. He said that they were in one of Nikki's cases. Sixx will frequently swap out pups and other parts for some reason. They are clearly uses. So,he had them for sale on eBay for a ridiculous price. I contacted him, he needed money to buy one Mick Mars guitars. We came to a deal, an excellent price. I've known Brian for awhile, he's told me alot about all things Crue. He's the real deal.
So, my band is headlining Crue fest at the Whisky in Hollywood next month...I'll be using this bass for certain!
I don't think I've posted in this club yet. Here's my Epi-bird (namesake bass) upgraded w/Lollar pups and Hipshot Supertone bridge. Currently strung up with DR Hi Beams. Great midrange clean tone from this axe and does fuzz/OD well.

$200 is reasonable in my opinion. I have bought two bolt-on Thunderbirds for $200 so far, including cases. If I'm not mistaken, an Epi Goth is also bolt-on. Of course, I'm thinking US prices, not Oz prices which are utterly insane by comparison.
Yeah that'd be some poopie. LA Guns is playing the night before, gna kick ass all weekend in Hollywood. Now, wouldn't it be fun if Nikki actually showed up at The Whiskey when you play there..?![]()
I have seen the occasional Suzi Quattro Thunderbird for sale and have been pretty tempted by them. The pickup configuration is unique and looks really interesting to me. Aw, shoot. I was GAS free. Now I'm not. Oh, well, the correct number of Thunderbirds is one more.Well, talking 'bout Greco TBs, one comes to mind: Does anyone play a Suzi Quatro Greco SB 850? I wonder what it will play like.
