I ordered version 1. I will def be reaching out to learn you favorite settings. Its going to be running into a GK 700RB so we should be in similar amp territory.
Absolutely. The 1 has a couple of internal trim pots to adjust the range, but I never touched those. Never had the need for more gain than its capable of by default. The 2 has switch to sort of simulate that.
The color and lighting on the metal parts is perfection.
Just in time to get me one of those new Thunderbirds for my birthday! Thanks!

Well now that it's no surprise there's not much point. Takes all the fun seeing the surprise of a new Thunderbird show up at your house. A Partridge Family "Live From Royal Albert Hall" album it is then.
And now that I'm not expecting a Thunderbird, it would be a surprise, so you can send it. Genius!
totally, although a hassle I totally dig the look and operating principle of the three point...this said, not my favorite TBird bridge..

The part, well.., one of the parts that dissuades me from using them is that every time you change strings you have to worry if the saddles will fall out while doing so.
yeah agree and intonating as well with the screw head right underneath the string is pretty bogus but from an aesthetic perspective, the way it floats of canter when proper adjustment calls for the three studs to be at different heights is unique to Gibson bass bridges and not seen elsewhere in the bass world....big part of the appeal pour moi..

But, why would you turn the bass over? Wouldn't you do the string change on your work bench (or in my case on the bed) ? I just don't understand, why would anyone turn a bass upside down to put strings on it? Asking for a friend .....
