Before the Aztec was cancelled though, its looks were greatly improved and we ended up with this as its last iteration. Some collect the ugly duckling version for the goof of it and some seek out the later iteration because it wasn't a bad utility vehicle.

This vehicle was built out of the minivan part's bin and it had a shortened minivan platform. That's what the bean counters forced the design team to do to keep program costs down. A perfect example of "penny wise and pound foolish" if there ever was one.

Jarts. Remember Jarts?
I worked summers during college working for a day camp in the OC. Fun job. We picked the kids up in the morning, took them to parks, the beach, museums, Disneyland, Knotts....and dropped them off after 4:30. I remember the two most popular games we played; Jarts and capture the flag. I do know we were insured.

Last episode of Derek Hoke’s $2 Tuesday thing. Played the Fano, which is a bit low in the mix at times. If you like stoner rock, Red Feather are a really good local band here in Nashville

Never been to Eastside Music when in Nashville. Going to have to drop in next time there--if I ever leave the state again!

Oh yeah. I wonder how many emergency room visits those things caused.
None in my area I knew of. We understood what would happen. If the Jart didn't kill us a parent would for being stupid... We basically treated them like guns. But I'm sure there were indeed victims of stupidity and not paying attention.

Terrifying Tuesday....

...I'm sure there's still enough blood on those darts to capture a DNA sample. The box inside and instructions are so nonchalant and innocent, from a different and less litigious time.:D
You have Thunderbirds AND Jarts? You've got to move back to Ky!

I like the instructions with things like saws that clearly say not to touch the moving blade. I understand the legal butt covering, but if you have to tell that to someone they likely weren't going to live much longer anyway.

I still have a scar in my foot from Jarts, the '70s were another era

Back in the 70's, we all knew someone missing a finger or two or even an eye... the warning labels have helped a bit because I don't think people are getting any smarter... matter of fact, waaaaayyy less common sense nowadays, IMO.
The first drummer I played with in the eighth grade had a motorcycle accident the next year. Riding a dirt bike, alone, no helmet. It took them hours to find him when they realized he was missing. He didn’t make it.

You still have Jarts? I kinda miss playing mumbledipeg with Jarts. It was so much more dangerous than with a hunting knife. What about BB gun wars? Stuuuuuuupid!

Yeah, it's a miracle any of us survived intact. I even have all my own teeth somehow. And can still play a Thunderbird every now and then.

Not gonna get any likes on that post. Sorry to hear about your friend even though it was all those years ago. :(

Yep, selfies alone have probably injured more people than jarts and BB guns...
