Thunderbird Club

Very cool. I Haven’t skied in Canada. My daughter has and loved it. Her favorite mountain is Jackson Hole where she worked two seasons a few years back.

Oh man, I would love to hit up Jackson Hole! I did a few years of competitive racing out east, and it is rough for boarders out there, between resorts not allowing you on the mountain or bad conditions. I did do nationals at Whiteface in Lake Placid, New York, and that was great up there. Also hit Jay's Peak up in Vermont, some of the coldest weather and best boarding I've ever had. Temperature at the lift base was -20 I think, but I had fresh tracks all day on the runs, can't beat that.

Wow. My daughter learned at Heavenly starting at 5. It’s a great family sport.
My brother is a ski instructor with the ski club. He has been teaching my daughter since she was 5. It keeps me working on my skills as I don't want her to become a better skier than me too soon; I want to be able to blame the progress of arthritis when she finally is better than me.

I've skied Big White a couple of times (pre-children). Great variety of hills and is certainly family friendly. I have some hazy memories of evenings there too including a couple of nights of what we called wine shooters (some call them flights of wine). No fried chicken involved.

I did Mt. Tremblant and it was -40C (-40F) at the top. It was glorious in that there was no one on the hill! It was awful in that I needed to warm up for 15-20 minutes after each run.
