What's your pleasure?![]()
My white '18 VP has a light fretboard. Never seen anything like it. I not entirely sure it's even wood. The pic below makes it look darker than it is by a fair amount. It verges on a darkish tan.

The '17 VP has a very dark FD and looks more like wood close up.
Note that both the white VP and white '76 have a light FB.

Nice. Is that the Indian Laurel that was mentioned earlier as being on the newer models?Since we're sharing pics of VP fretboards...
...here's mine, presumably a 2020 model, built December 2019

Side note - I've been considering starting a bonsai tree from seed, the box in your pic looks like the brand I was looking at, if so are you pleased with the product?

Maybe this stuff? Plantation New Zealand pine put through some kind of compression process...First of all - Nice Basses!
Your '18 VP fretboard has a classic Pau Ferro look to it. Your '17 VP FB looks identical to mine, which I think is a synthetic wood called Blacktec.
And most important - wood deck, lush green grass, thick woods (and I assume grape vines as thick as your arm). You're killin me man, now I'm really getting homesick.![]()
You haven't been around in a while. I thought perhaps you were off to Montana to raise dental floss. What's your pleasure?![]()

Bergantino Tsunami cable for me. Tsunami is maybe the best on the market nowadays.

My instructor always swore by Mogami. Like, harshly swore!
Thanks! And thanks for the description of FB materials. The lighter FB on the '18 always made me think it was man-made since it kind of has a paneling look to it. That was out back of the old house. Kentucky's calling (with much lower taxe$ but more rain)!First of all - Nice Basses!

I have a few short 18” Mogami cables with right angle plugs I use with my wireless transmitters. Nothing special IMO.My instructor always swore by Mogami. Like, harshly swore!
Fretboard on my 2005 Gibby - EbonyThis is more like what my '18 VP looks like.
That looks like a bolt-on Epiphone that was de-fretted.Just saw this in our locals, Gibson fretless Bird with hardcase for 500$ ???
