What do we call a fretless Goth then? A Froth?Nah. Looks like a Goth with a TR cover swap.
Dinner/dance at a BIG(bus type)RV showroom. It's like a hangar except nicer. Jazz/dinner music for ~1 1/2 hours, some ceremonial [stuff], then dancing 'til 10-ish. Taking the 67 NR 'Bird
and the Rumble 200c-big room, lotta air to move. We most likely won't be putting instruments through the PA(2 daisy chained Bose L-1's), although we can. They don't want us too be so loud that the guests on the other side of the rented dance floor can't talk. It'll either be interesting or a train wreck. I'll report later-assuming we survive.Good one. And they either removed the Celtic cross logo from the pg or replaced it with a blank one. Looks nice enough, seems a bit high on the price. What do we call a fretless Goth then? A Froth?
Have fun! Curious how they're doing distancing and such.Gig tonight.Dinner/dance at a BIG(bus type)RV showroom. It's like a hangar except nicer. Jazz/dinner music for ~1 1/2 hours, some ceremonial [stuff], then dancing 'til 10-ish. Taking the 67 NR 'Bird

Looks funny to me. Maybe just the photo. But look how the strings in the pic of the headstock all seem to angle upward from the nut toward the tuners.Just saw this in our locals, Gibson fretless Bird with hardcase for 500$ ???

Right angle instrument end, straight amp end. I have done it that way for decades. It never occurred to me to think about what it looks like. When gigging or standing with the strap on I always use(d) right angles on the bass end, always straight on the amp end now. When sitting I usually use my planet wave cable with the built in mute button which unfortunately just happens to be straight on both ends.
I stopped using a right angle cable at the amp end when I exceeded the cable reach and snapped off the end pin leaving it firmly lodged inside the amp input jack. It was a major PITA to get out.
What happens with the buzzy one?Well, SW is sending a new 4x10 cab. I sent them a 30 second clip that featured the buzzy upper right driver and rather than make me hassle with trying to get it fixed, they’re just shipping a new one. Pretty good on them I think. Minor inconvenience is all. I’m guessing there is something loose; but I appreciate not having to mess with it. Stuff happens. That’s why I bought from them in the first place and continue to be a good customer.
The replacement will be here Friday or Saturday. It’s coming via two day shipping (I didn’t even ask for that). I’ll put the first one in the box, use their label, call FedEx for pickup and back to SW it goes. First rate customer service. What happens with the buzzy one?
