Thanks. Fast reading though. Lots of car talk with some washer/dryer chatter thrown in. Short version: lots of Mopar love and old Kenmores are tanks.Well done Marshall.
On an unrelated matter, I can’t believe I’m still 674 messages behind !![]()

Interesting. We had a whole house humidifier as well (for winter only), and the washer was in the basement where is was prone to high humidity in the Summer. Thus had to run a dehumidifier! Like your situation, the instruments were more comfortable. We even have a climate/humidity system on the Baldwin. Makes it much happier and keeps it more in tune.KY was where we had the problem. We tried leaving the door open, bleach wipes, enlarging the gasket drain hole, wiping down with a paper towel after each run, etc. and still eventually had the problem. We did have a whole house humidifier, HEPA filtration, and positive air pressurization. The basses loved it, constant temp and humidity and hardly a speck of dust. Unfortunately the front load washer didn't do as well.
Speaking of basses, incoming....

I can imagine! You have to learn to use the off switch! Not caring helps too! Part of me can be passive and let things go. At other times or situations the German/Dutch side says there's a better way and we must get there.Could be worse. I didn't just spend 25 years as a commercial contractor, I am also a registered architect. I see all kinds of things normal people are oblivious to. Fortunately I don't care.
I think you may be onto something with this observation.Seattle has been about moisture lately. I should be playing something - Thunderbird, drums, doghouse, guitar, whatever. But it has rained for days, and I am sitting in front of a fire on TalkBass, taking a minute or two off of reading an absurdly dry and long history study that I have been getting through for a number of years.
We may be a biker gang around here, but we play Thunderbirds and are pointy heads and highly refined dorks.
Sometimes, when I have a little time..I push the humidifier up against the dehumidifier and watch them fight it out.Interesting. Thunderbird!

I’ve been playing a lot during this lockdown and can honestly say I’m a better player now than I was when I played out back in the day. I couldn’t imagine getting this far back into music when I started back about seven years ago. Most everything else takes a back seat these days. A lot of it has to do with Thunderbirds.I think you may be onto something with this observation.
Apparently putting pants in the freezer is something you can do to avoid washing them - which will fade them.
Ok. Kids.Apparently putting pants in the freezer is something you can do to avoid washing them - which will fade them.
Are we talking “pants” by the US or UK definition here?Apparently putting pants in the freezer is something you can do to avoid washing them - which will fade them.
I never recommend this, but I think you need to take up drinking....Sometimes, when I have a little time..I push the humidifier up against the dehumidifier and watch them fight it out.
Sadly I can't say the same. I'm not disciplined enough in that respect. Moving and all that hasn't helped either. We're just now getting into something of normal days with not extras going on. About ready to list my mother's house in a few days, so it will kind of start all over, but to a lesser extent.I’ve been playing a lot during this lockdown and can honestly say I’m a better player now than I was when I played out back in the day. That's what you do when you ARE drinking..and the boat is frozen in at the slipI never recommend this, but I think you need to take up drinking....
Or get out on your boat more!
Beautiful. It should be a postcard. In my best Forrest Gump..that’s my boat..on the right farther down the dock.
Waiting for a little warmer days to come.

Nice indeed! Yeah, might want to hold up on that a little. Not enough warming to cut that baby loose. Carry on with the humidity battles. In my best Forrest Gump..that’s my boat..on the right farther down the dock.

I wish. My wife and I are California natives, and as much as we might want to leave, the reality is we never will. I’m hoping on line technology gets to the point where remote Jams are as simple as using Zoom. It’s getting there...Move up this way and we can start an intsrumental band. Two Thunderbirds and a drummer!
