Are there many available resources to have film developed any longer? I know Walgreens and CVS still handle it to some degree, but not sure who else still offers developing services.
There are still camera shops around that will do one or two runs a week of C41. The film and chemistry is still readily available as the movie industry uses the same materials and still work mostly with film.

A bit snow on the ground here in Seattle this morning, I have about 5" out front.........So, a day of playing hooky from work which will include working on Al Stewart's "On the Border" some model train time and most likely wearing women's clothes. I know, a Queen's work is never done

The Queen is going through a blue period?

Or is it just the colour of twilight?

Beautiful! I’m still working on OTB too. The timing can be tricky.

Hopefully warmer than us. We're in the the coldest part so far over here: minus 15C (5F) today, minus 20C (-4F) last night. As we say : Y fa frette en ta ! (slang french for "it's effin' cold !)

Those were vaccines before going to the gulf war. Theory being that they may offer some protection from biological weapons that we knew could be quickly and easily made and deployed.
Yes, I was thinking the gov'ment could detonate you if you were ever captured. Fortunately that was not necessary. When you've mentioned all the shots before it always reminds of my dad getting them walking a gauntlet getting them from both sides before heading to Korea.

What a way to end a year(2020), Three weeks ago Had to say goodbye to my truck, a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac with 260,000 miles. That got replaced with a 2018 Subaru (some of you already know this). So last week our 2015 MacBook Air had to go in for repair on the battery, well they wanted to replace the battery, the logic board and the hard drive, for a year $799.00 usd. So we also had to cough up enough money to get a computer. I hope that is all the breakdowns 2021 will present. I am, however, afraid of the "they go in threes" theory.

I’ve got my Dads old Canon 35mm film camera from circa ‘85 some where. Never gave it a go - is it pointless now?

When we were kids we had a Leica (?) with a seperate light meter thingy. That must be around somewhere too. The Canon replaced it when he got to travel in retirement.
I can't find my dads Roliflex camera! Breaks my heart that I don't know where it is :(

My answer would be absolutely!

Leica still makes film cameras (and are pricey at about $5k). My Nikons (FE) were both made in the early 80s. Film of all sizes is still readily available and still gets processed. The only problem film is E6 (slides). When Kodak went through bankruptcy, they stopped making the chemistry for processing (I used to buy their 5L kit and do it at home). There are still some people putting together kits, but they are expensive and I don't know that anyone is still doing it with machines (like C41 is done).

There are kids (and probably hipsters) who have gone back to film because it is cool.
Our 19-year-old drummer shoots with film. I think it's cute. I still have my beloved Nikon FE2, but I haven't shot film in ages. I also have my father's old Rolleiflex, but haven't actually used it. I had a darkroom in the 80s. I miss that.
