Thunderbird Club

Here's a note from my Sweetwater guys.......

Hey Mark,

I hope you are doing well today. This is Matt Helm at Sweetwater Sound, and I work directly with your sales engineer Ian Angle.
I wanted to give you a quick status update regarding your order.

Looks like the Gibson Thunderbird should come into stock roughly within the next 2-3 weeks.
As always, this time frame is subject to change, so I’ll continue to monitor the ETA and alert you of any changes.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thanks!

Matt H

Haha that’s where my brain is at! My only issue was if we’re getting over the 2grand price range then i’d consider a Serek. Since the Lincoln is the closest thing to my favorite Gibson shape.

Soundwise the TB sound is the sound I love most though.
That Serek is cool. Hondo Felder does a lot of his demos on his.

Good afternoon Thunderbird loving sisters and brothers. I am back from an unexpectedly strong reaction to the J&J vaccine. Glad to be back. I admit to lusting after one of the new NR birds, and read with great interest the recent posts about them soon to be delivered from Sweetwater. I look forward to seeing pics once they arrive. I had lunch with my nephew from the west side, and we talked about getting together to see some live music as venues (hopefully) continue to reopen. Wondering if any one from that side of the mountains is familiar with a place called Slim's Last Chance? I think it is in the downtown area, but not certain. Hoping to catch one of our queen's gigs when things reopen, and wondering they play there, or are familiar with the place. I hope all are staying well.

Decided I should put the original knobs back on the Redbird (they were in the case pocket):
