There is certainly not much room, but I haven't had trouble getting a narrow socket in, but once I start turning it feels odd and then when I go back to release the socket you can tell it moved beyond the lugs and was ridding on top of them. I hoping I can at least get it off and put a new one on that has good edges. I'm hoping I can get enough grip to make that happen once I order some nuts. I recall seeing a tool to remove a worn nut, but would have to search again if that's needed. I think once those nuts get the slightest bit roughed up--like once--it's basically over. I just don't see how you can strip them unless you are using the wrong size socket and/or have it at wrong angle.
