Thunderbird Club

A good Ginger Beer that has some "kick" to it really makes the drink IIRC it's 2 oz Bourbon (Or Vodka) 1 oz, lime juice and a hail cup of Ginger Beer. Shake the first two over ice and into a copper mug, then add the Ginger Beer.

Didn't he have the bodies made a little larger than standard? I wonder why. I'd personally be into having it slightly smaller than standard.

As I recall Mike said that Jeff ("he's a big dude") wanted something larger due to his physical stature, bring enough money to the table and just about anything can happen!

[physics]Increasing the size while maintaining the density of wood (ahem) increases mass and increases the moment of rotational inertia. If the headstock remains unchanged, a larger body will reduce neck dive and a smaller body will increase neck dive.[/physics]

As some of you know from having lived in FL, our 'tseason' is basically over. None of our places wants to bother with music 'til next season-mid October. We do have a few odd gigs booked, but very damn little.:meh:
I'm always "amused" by the rest of the country's gigging season being the warm months when all our snowbird visitors have left. This will be 'sleeping' in its case a lot. The "Coffin" might be really appropriate.:banghead:

You need to find some 20 year old metal players or hip hop'ers who need a bass player for all the youngin's through the summer. Problem solved.;) The metal option would be easy on the wardrobe. It's all a matter of what color black you want to wear any given night.

Played mt '76 today. First time in a long while. Noticed more relief in the neck that I like. Once home I began adjusting and like many old Gibson's, the nut was less than perfect and whatever socket I tried didn't seem to grip well, so I stopped. This is where I do like Leo's and EB's adjustment system better. So many Thunderbirds with any age I've seen have the nut worn to where it's mighty difficult to adjust. Advice from the experts please.... New nut a viable or good idea? If so, any places better than others?
