Yuck! Pooie, pooie!
Balance, reason and tolerance are not allowed. George will be sent to the "ministry of truth's" special camp to help him think one way, I mean more clearly. I don't think he'll be back because I don't see him being a fan of the Kool-Aid.That opinion is well balanced, thoughtful, well reasoned, and acknowledges that there is a diversity of opinion. Is that allowed on the internet?
Thank you!I'm sure I've said it before, but I can't look at that gif without getting a smile on my face, just so sweet and wholesome and innocent looking. For me, It just washes away all the crap and strife and division and politics and says be what ever you want to be in life, but be happy. Cheers to the Princess Club and their delicate little fingers!

Yep. He bought a rick to try to sound like CS.GL's a certified monster; musician, bass-player, performer. He could play any bass and he would kill. I like his tone - it's defined/articulate and forward in the mix, which he was a pioneer of along with Chris Squire.
Me too. There is a lot of musical space for 3 players to fill (or purposely leave empty). It gives everyone a chance to shine and there is nowhere to hide. Triumph, ZZ Top, Motorhead...I've always loved "power trio's', from Cream forward - these guys got better/rock harder when the got older...
A section of Cygnus X-1 from Farewell to Kings. One of the enjoyable parts of the later Rush shows; there are so many songs that fans want to hear and not enough time to include them all, so they had medleys of songs that they couldn't include. Also the way they had fun with the songs; "we Argh the priests of the temples of syrinx"At 5:09 they break into a very sinister "Mr Bungle" section.
It’s a rainy “add some bling to the basses” day:

Never been a Rush fan. Can't get past Geddys voice.
That said, credit where credit is due - the man is an absolute bass monster, he plays as good as he did 30 years ago and during that time has probably lost more talent than I'll ever have. Off stage he seems to be a stand up guy as well (rare for super star rock artists). The Rush hits over the years are undeniably some of the most iconic songs of their times and the three person band fills air space as good as any tight five piece band. Rush should be one of the top 25 bands in rock and roll history. Just not my personal cup of tea.
That's ok, what they don't know is that I replaced the Kool-Aid with Eagle Rare Burbon whiskey on the rocks with a splash of simple syrup folded in. I think it's a movie Opie Taylor directed about some car guys.
Gotta love a little Kylie.I'm sure I've said it before, but I can't look at that gif without getting a smile on my face, just so sweet and wholesome and innocent looking. My wife has the same opinion. She can't stand his voice. The instant she hears it in the car the channel is changed! I love it and I'm not a huge Rush fan, but being Canadian it's almost a given that you "like" Rush. His tone is really cool, his talent is unreal and he seems to be a humble person. He checks all the boxes for me for someone to look up to. I do see how his voice can be something that people shy away from though. The main thing is that he's a Thunderbird lover like us!
Don't tell anybody, but I heard he's club member #62. He wants to keep it real quiet since he's officially a Ric endorser, hence his name and number removed from our Queens list.Maybe Geddy can be honorary member no. 2112 ?
Saw that one. I already have two Burst birds and a VP so I'm not in the market right now but it does look like a good deal. One of you guys really should snap up the sunburst Vintage Pro for sale in the classifieds. Great deal, with a case, and I can't buy another Thunderbird before the last one I bought even gets here!

(Yes that's a mint Julip minus the mint, gotta get ready for the Derby!)

Ha! Never was a fan of Mint Julips. Then again, there's not much I liked mixed in as it ruins the taste of Bourbon! That's ok, what they don't know is that I replaced the Kool-Aid with Eagle Rare Burbon whiskey on the rocks with a splash of simple syrup folded in. Bring on the Kool-aid!

Everyone has one... an opinion that is (among other things)Even though I don't own a single Rush recording, and have never seen them live - GL's a certified monster; musician, bass-player, performer.
