I was pretty dismissive of James Chance back then, but seeing/hearing it today gave me a whole new appreciation of what he was doing. I like early Golden Palomino's a bit better... ( Laswell, Lindsay, Frith....)

Well, under the heading LSTYD, By the time the games(baseball/hockey)were over, it's too late to play.
Oh, well, I gots all day tomorrow to play my THUNDERBIRD, assuming my arm doesn't stiffen up from Moderna #1.
I did play it a little when I brought it home. Feels and sounds really good. It's a great ole bass. Here's a newfuzzypic with its much younger cousin.

Very unique. I like it. Don't know if I could take a whole album of it, but the one song is pretty cool in a punk jazz kind of way.

Loved this song! But, Gibson bass fun? Do my eyes deceive me? Isn’t that a Ric in his hands? Oops. Never mind. The photo at the head of the video shows a Ric, but in the actual video it’s an EBO. But it sure sounds like a Ric on the studio recording. I’m so confused.
