Thunderbird Club

Its amazing how the larger headstock and the NR body shape of the BaCH when parked along side a Greco almost make the Greco look like a short scale bass. IIRC the Greco scale is only a tad under 34”.
Looks like it’s gonna be a great night for some live music.
will never completely understand the phenomenon of T-Bird optical illusions……seems like you move the lens 1/4” and all dimensional bets are off…..pretty bizarre….

I personally don’t find bathroom scales to be any more or less accurate than scales I do anywhere else in the house. Major, minor and pentatonic scales sound about the same to me regardless of where I play them. :D

Digital scales tend to work well. But getting a Thunderbird on some would be tricky.

*This is not mine. Didn't have them decades ago when I was an undocumented pharmacist.

Here is an.........interesting take on a Bird.

Harden Engineering Thunderhawk Bass guitar | eBay

I've done some fretwork on one of these for a guy i had met during my time working in my local music shop. Cool dude, very talkative & big personality, but down to earth & has a kick ass arsenal of gear.

Tort warning, but this one looks more reasonable colour scheme wise.

^^^You might think the balance is off due to where the bottom pin is, but surprisingly it isn't. It's a loud bass, sounds cool. & no, that's not an optical illusion/picture angle, the last fret is positioned mid way of a traditional fret spacing.

^^^during fretwork, closer top down view of the fretboard end.

Wouldn't be something i'd own/rock with. But that guy loves this bass (amongst all his others xD)

Got back with a Lull T4 !!! Oh my.....what a perfect instrument!!! I had one before with the glossy neck, but much prefer that one, which is smooth finish..... the Bass plays itself, the work done on the frets is of unseen quality craftsmanship.... these pickups are to die for!! The E String is so authoritative!!! Truly enjoy that beauty!!! And, it seems that they don't do these anymore, which I was not aware of until this afternoon. Truly a gem!! She sounds terrific!!! Kudos to Lull Team for bringing such a beautiful instrument!

Wow!

I need one of those that plays itself since I do such a shoddy job of it.

heck you weren’t kidding…..glad I read your post……frigging cold…

There is a picture of me at that statue with my finger up Steinbeck's nose.

My high school English teachers would be happy I recall who Steinbeck is and horrified that I stuck my finger up his nose. I call that win-win!
