Cool bass! And Acoustic... is that a150 head? And who did the artwork on the cab?

Had that same amp & cab in the early/mid 70s. Can't remember if the cab was 2x15 or 2x12. Thinking 2x15. Do remember it was loud and had lots of thump.

Yes, I think it was the 150 (head) with 2x15 cab is what I had, two of them! I bought it used in '78 for $250 during a blizzard in Chicago (I was the only one to brave the day so I got it for cheap!)

I still play through an Acoustic Control stack. You can't beat 'em for filling a room with bass. Stage volume is iffy when you are not blowing out the back wall of the venue, but that's just details. If I can't hear what I'm doing, mistakes don't bother me.

It is a 150. Technically a guitar head with two channels. It sounds killer with bass too though. I am really digging it.

You are right! I am unsure who did the work. I got it through a friend. A band I was in a while ago submitted out album artwork to this company and they created the cover. It just velcros over the grill of the cab. I think it was around $50. I will have to get back to you once I double check.

Yeah it is the Avatar 2x12 bass cab. It sounds great and I got it for a bargain a few years back.

I've been trying the same technique with my Fender too but I've removed the tuning machines too so it will never go out of tune

Ha! I needed to pimp it up a bit I have a dark brown leather one now and a tan leather on the Gibson, that photo was taken the day I got the Epi and my strap hadn't arrived

The EY parts humbuckers have been fitted. Was supposed to be wired V-V but the two 9K2 pups are out of phase, so he wired them master volume and blend instead.

Well, so much for the Craigslist NR Reissue, I suppose. Guy responded to my first email almost immediately. "Yeah, I can get you more pics, etc." When I asked for specific shots of the bridge, headstock, bottom edge of body... he got a little defensive and stated that he'd ordered it new (for $1499) and opened the box it was in just to look at it, then never played it or even plugged it in, so the price is FIRM at $1200. Who orders a bass (at above MSRP) and doesn't play it? No one I know... but it could happen, I guess.

He was supposed to send those pics yesterday. They never came and he never responded to a followup email asking for the pics.

Chalking it up as BS.
