Eh, to me it looks pretty different.
As a rule jokes are not improved by explanation, best to leave it there to die quietly.

That's super cool... And Happy BirthdayGentlemen and Ladies thank you very much for the Birthday Wishes. It's a pleasure to be the Queen here, you all make it the nice place that it is.
Here's a little Green on Green that I shot this morning.
Thunderbirds always!

Fortunately, we don't have to care about that.I think not!![]()
SureVery nice! Would you like to join the club?
Nor me, I quite like a lot of them and have always loved Js, it's their owners that need to broaden their horizons a littleIt's not that I'm indifferent/hostile to all 7ender axes, just that discussing them requires visiting talkguitar.com or tdpri.com.
Colin - when your wife finds out you broke her blue bowling ball in half she's gonna be furious!Nor me, I quite like a lot of them and have always loved Js, it's their owners that need to broaden their horizons a little

Don't be daft man, that's her crash helmet for her motorbikeColin - when your wife finds out you broke her blue bowling ball in half she's gonna be furious!
Very nice Jazz, love the color and I'd bet the quarter pounders were a real improvement over the stock pups.![]()

So all in all I guess that would make me very unpopular with the true followers of faith as laid out by the grand master Leo the GreatVery nice TBird! And by the way, your Cort bass looks very similar to another Gibson...Been a proud 'bird owner since yesterday. Side-by-side with a Cort B4 this bass looks like (and feels like) heavy artillery compared to a rifle
Bought it new in a store as "b-stock" for $480

Be careful where you tread Colin. The Fender Illuminati at TB will banish you to Gibson Pergatory for defacing their Idol by painting an unpainted Fender headstock, it's a serial abuse and unforgivable by many in the Fender clan.Don't be daft man, that's her crash helmet for her motorbike
The QPs were a huge improvement/difference depending on your view, a lot more output and a fuller tone, the crappy die cast bridge made a bigger difference, made the sound more solid. The Jazz is actually a Mexican but it's nicer than almost any MIA I've tried, the headstock I painted myself, I have a bit of a fetish about red headstocksSo all in all I guess that would make me very unpopular with the true followers of faith as laid out by the grand master Leo the Great
As the addiction starts to take hold of you the factory strings are ripped off in a frenzy and replaced in defiance. At this point you really don't care if others notice, it feels too good to stop.
You soon reach a point of no return where even the stock bridge must go, you need more, you want more and you'll do anything to get it - even if you have to be badass about it.
I'm kinda the opposite. Not really into Fender guitars except teles. Kinda like their basses. Some of them. It's not that I'm indifferent/hostile to all 7ender axes, just that discussing them requires visiting talkguitar.com or tdpri.com.
I easily have four times as many Fenders (guitars and basses) as I do Gibsons. I like em all for different reasons.I'm kinda the opposite. Not really into Fender guitars except teles. Kinda like their basses. Some of them.

The life of a Fender abuser always starts out so innocent. First you replace the pots in the privacy of your own house, your actions are hidden by the control plate, you assume no one will ever know about it.
Then as you get away with it you get bolder and the urge to replace the pickups hits. You know some will notice but you rationalize it with "all my friends are doing it" logic.

This tragic story always ends with the shattered life and shame of a painted headstock and fake water slide decals.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you my friend, fortunately you've taken the first step to recovery with the purchase of a TBird - it's a start and there's a long road ahead. You'll need to stay the course and continue to immerse yourself in Gibson love. TBirds, SGs, EBs, Victory basses, Rippers, LPs and even RD Artists are all good medicine. Surround yourself with as many as you can and you'll soon be over that dark Fender period in your life.![]()
