Personally, I prefer the silver/nickel (neons) version over the stainless (Black Beauties), they're a bit less bright. Somewhere between flatwounds & un-coated roundwounds.

yeah, that's a bummer
and I don't know of anyone else that makes colored coated strings. All the others I've seen (Like the Rotosound Nexus) are just black.
That takes some skill. I think if I tried anything else while playing, I would lose track of something.Lol, no such luck.But many of the places we play do provide lots of smoke.
I'm in charge of the lights, and triggering sound effects (like the falling cash register coins in "Money", or the alarm clocks in "Time", or the chimes from "Bridge of Sighs"). Also have a canned instrumental version of "Happy Birthday" that sounds like Guy Lombardo's band. Lots of cool stuff.
I still think I need a smoke machine at home..

OH my god. What did I start with that glib little comment? I've got to learn to keep some thoughts to myself.
I also need to set a good example. I have impressed upon my daughter that rule #1 is don't burn down the house. So I'm thinking of one of the non-flammable kinds. I see it as a practical item as well; I can use it for fire drills in the middle of the night.
Many here will tell you not so much amazing as disturbingly melon obsessed. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle...

I used to run lights with an FCB-1010 (foot controller)and sound in my cover band. In retrospect, it was too much to think about on top of playing bass and backing vocals.

Yeah. Keep the Siverburst a Thunderbird. They're pretty rare.
There's an Epi Goth listed (sort of) locally on FB marketplace. There's only this one picture. I like the look of the wear, but wonder if someone has done a relic job on it?

That looks like a trans-black with a Goth PG. Either way, you're getting an Epi TBIV.

Interesting look. I have a couple of Goths (one from China and one from Korea) and both are deep satin black, zero brown tint and the thick poly black goes all the way to the wood (as I found out when I tore up the lower bout on my China Goth….
So the one in the picture could be honest player wear (very very very doubtful considering the thickness of the poly) or a photo with bad white balance (maybe somewhat possible) but most likely is a very interesting relic job with some dark brown stain over the body. The headstock looks untouched and still satin black.
The Goths are a bit darker and deeper in sound from the other Eppi birds. Much more a thick fundamental or background bass tone vs a forward in the mix VP. I did a Cap change on mine and installed Cobalt flats and a Hipshot bridge, and of all my Tbirds it's the one I reach for most often. Any Goth in reasonable shape at or under $300 without a case is a steal in my book. These are very good gigging basses.
