Get the Hipshot parts from Hipshot, or make sure they're the USA-made versions. Some people have had QC problems with the licensed parts manufactured elsewhere. (I find that odd given the tech available all around the world, but there it is).

The Ultra-Lites on the new NRs are fabulous tuners. As are the Hipsots I recently put on my Mustang.

My problem with the three point and with the Epi two point is that neither of them gives me enough room to properly intonate without EBCF silks ending up on the saddles. I also like the greater adjustability of the Supertone. I know that's a minus for some (side eye at GBN 8^), but it's a plus for me.

Except as I recently learned, you may need to change intonation screws on the Supertone to get proper intonation with different strings.

For all the good members of this club have done for Gibson in ideas and simple promotion of their basses...they ought to have a special "Thunderbird Club Edition." G&L did it--and didn't have to file for bankruptcy or reorganization.
In fact, the new NR should bear the special edition name. I seriously doubt Gibson thought of that apart from anything going on here. I believe in occasional coincidences, but not that one.

Weld like to think that anyway. And Scott is a pretty good Ambassador.

That's why I always wanted one. A Ric, not a cape. Until I went on a quest to find one and found they just weren't for me. Perfectly content with Thunderbirds.

McVie is my hero. And I love Fleetwood Mac. Back to the Peter Green and even Bob Welcjh iterations. And there are times when Stevie Nicks' songs fit the mood perfectly.

I should mention that this past summer, I’ve toyed with the idea of selling the collection. Life and such got a little weird. Not sure what I’ll do at this point, but…we’ll see
