Thunderbird Club

As a gin-you-wine Appalachian by ancestry, I have a genetic knowledge of what a real hillbilly is. Not a redneck, though. That's a different animal altogether, and I am always insulted any time anybody calls me a redneck.

Yah, rednecks are more flat-landers. Hillbillies (Mountain Williams) are different - it's in the name.

Surprised this guy wasn’t the logo

I think I mentioned it, but will continue to...

Recent trade I sent USPS, arrived in 3 days.

mine was fedaxe and took 13 days...

UNLESS it comes from sweetwater, then it's 3-4 days.... sometimes....
Even a Sweetwater order got delayed by three days recently. UPS is screwing things up pretty badly lately, too.

there’s a revolving door of stupidity among the various carriers, I just go with the one I’m least pissed with at the time.

don’t forget to give them extra money to insure they don’t destroy the item you paid them to deliver…

  1. the practice of obtaining something, especially money, through force or threats.
"If you don’t pay extra money we will fold, spindle, and mutilate your package before we lose it”.

The waiting is the hardest part (There's a song there somewhere), FedEx now says Friday which really honks me off, as it's coming to my work and I'm off that day. It's spent the last day outside of Portland, OR. - Now I have to come in to get it, not happy with FedEx.
It still has to be directed through Orlando, then Tulsa, and on to Newark before heading to the NW. It's Fedmess. Nothing much makes sense. But I feel your pain, but your patience will soon be rewarded. Hang in there. It's kind of killing us too ya know! We're waiting for pics, comments and eventually a video review.

My experience with UPS is that they won't honor the insurance anyway. Criminal fraudsters, but what can you do?

I got an idea! Box up that Greco and send it to me, and we can see which one arrived first!

I was able to settle an insurance claim with UPS. It took some effort, but they made good on it. It's why I still use them. FedEx "lost" Pat Wilkin's insurance claim for my stollen guitar body and now we have to start over - which we will. They count on you giving up.

Stick it to them. Ask for costs of pursuing the claim and see what they do. Offer to name individuals personally. That sometimes gets results.

You know, with these unsubstantiated rumors of more vintage spec'd 'Birds, I just had the realization if they do come out, while I'd want to grab one immediately, with all the exclusives Chicago Music Exchange does...I might have to wait and see if they put out some more ostentatious color options than Sunblurst. Though if they make a II I may need one in Sunburst and a custom color, I do love the look of the old 60s Sunburst ones (about the only instrument I like a burst one, at least the original Reverse, not as fond of it on the NR body style).

Also there's a 2013 NR down in San Diego for sale with Epiphone 760s in it...
