Thunderbird Club

I am pretty much i. The same camp as many of you on the Dingwall.

On other pages, i have been checking out different effect pedals. I would like to get a couple but nothing outrageous. I'' looking at getting:

1) Big Muff Pii
2) pog

I really like some of the Darkglass stuff but wow are they $$$. Although their amp!!!! I might like that.

What effect s do you guys use? If any?

Didn't you see the pedalboard I posted a few pages back? ;)

The awesome thing about the Darkglass amp, that somewhat justifies the price, is that it basically includes 2 of their highly regarded pedals, the VMT and the B3K. Which would sell for about $450 combined.
Having said that, $250 each for a pedal is pricey :-/ But they sell.

And the downside is that the two effects can't be used together at the same time, and they aren't footswitchable, which seems like a big mistake. You have to push a button at the amp.
But the first reviews so far are great.

What happens when we get to page 999? Does our queen close the thread and start a new one?
According to the ancient Talkbass.com user's scrolls, we first need to don our polyester, mini skirts and butt bows, while drinking hipster brands of wine/beer, as if to party like it were page 999. What follows is known only to our queen . . .

On the older format we used to close a thread after 1000 posts and start a new one, but that changed awhile back so we just keep posting. I love it that you all chat it up so much it keeps the thread on or near the first page and all the 7ender fanbois wondering at the fun we have.

We roll on, you guys and gals make it the fun place to be, I don't spend any time on other club threads tho I understand the Spector guys are quite vocal as well.

Halloween's just around the corner.... My High Holiday!

I'll be working this year, we'll play a large party at a Casino on the 29th, I'm fretting over which basses/clothes wigs need to make the 125mi. trip. I was thinking of bringing my 3 '76s but I'm not certain yet.

Big decisions....

I have a gig coming on the 12th next month, and i need to figure out which color birds to bring for the gig... ;)

My Metallic Red and Pelham Blue needs to take a rest for a while...

At the Moment I use:
- TC Polytune 2
- "Pumpernickel" Comp (a comp from a kit of Schalltechnik_04, great comp!)
- TC Sub n Up Octaver (octave up and first octave down get used)
- Harley Benton Ultimate Drive (I have 2, one set up to work with the Sub n Up, one for red fang style brrzzzz sounds)
- Nobels ODR1 (always on to mildly overdrive the amp and freshen up the Sound a bit)

I'm gonna add a wooly mammoth fuzz and a Schalltechnik_04 Guma Antique which is a kit that copys the Darkglass Vintage Microtubes. The kit is like 60 bucks so.... The Guma will replace the Nobels on this board!

BLING! BLING!

Swapping out the bridge was surprising easy. A little work was required:

1. removing the piezo gubbins so bridge would sit flat

2. the new screws were too small so I reused the original screws

3. the height adjust grub screws were pants, so I reused those originals too

Last I heard the new tuners were in Jamaica NY, which is near the airport in Queens is it not?
