I was blown away how well it cut through the mix of 2 guitarists + a keyboard.
It must be the PG!

I am with Kat on this one. The 2015 T-bird has volume for each pickup, a tone control, plus coil-tapping switches for each pup. It is almost too much for my little pea(bass) brain to contemplate, after many years of just two knobs (volume and tone @ 11 = "one more than 10").V-V @ 100%
Once I find the correct pup balance (with a screwdriver) I leave it alone, stop fiddling with it, find something else to play with...
I had a medium scale Burns Marquee, the Korean made one, and it had 3 single coil pups. Damn thing sounded pretty hefty... you could dial up a good wallop with it. Might not be a problem... but, I don't know. I can't imagine a Tbird without some heft to it, it's sort of a tradition, isn't it?That Dingwall looks interesting!
Never played fanned frets before but I'd suspect it's difficult to go back and forth between that and normal frets. I'd also be a bit concerned that the Dingwall won't have the hefty sound of the bird due to what I assume are single coils all down near the bridge. Also, what control layout could that be with three pups and only three non stacked knobs - V/V/V?
Anyone see this yet?? Holy Cow!View attachment 971742
One of the better looking T-Bird knockoffs I've seen. Really dig the shape of the headstock, really attractive IMO. It's just enough different from the Gibson/Epi shape yet reminds one of the original and doesn't detract from the body shape. Well done.

That's my kinda strap button placement... Almost the same...Anther angle of the D-Bird.
(Not to be confused with a D-Bag)

And check out the strap locks positions

I was just looking at that. Very interesting. Looks like the bridge end of the strap would have a tendency to take the finish off the top edge of the strap cutout cup. Also looks like it would be difficult to fit normal thick and wide leather bass straps to the neck end without them bunching up between the back of the neck and the pin. That's my kinda strap button placement... Almost the same...
I like it!! Guard is okay but it would look better without it IMO.
None. What effect s do you guys use? If any?
