Thunderbird Hardcase

So the gigbag i was going to buy (extra thick) was out of stock on amazon. I guess i shouldn't have posted the link here lmao. So i need to bring my bird this saturday to a gig, and I don't have a case/bag, I don't wanna go for the cheaper bag cause I'll get what I paid for. Now the thunderbird "piano" case looks really silly, I'm looking for a hardcase that's like the fender "chainsaw" case, gibson has a "chainsaw" case but it's for electric guitars, if you know someone who sells customized cases please let me know.

Good luck with that. I recently ordered the soft gig bag because that huge case won't fit inside my compact car.

I probably will reinforce the interior of the soft bag and just be careful while I find a better solution.

Don't know why someone hasn't come up with a better solution. Seems kind of obvious to me...

That's the one I bought, but hasn't arrived yet. (I live in Puerto Rico so, will take a while) I have an Epi and a Gibson and will be sharing the bag, one at a time, of course.

I read here that it's just a bit more than a dust cover so, I'll be extra careful.

Is ugobo real? 7 posts. All from today. All praising the virtues of (i.e. advertising for) a specific thunderbird gig bag.

Thunderbirds and gig bags are just an accident waiting to happen, imo. Hopefully somebody will come out with a hybrid case that will fit a thunderbird.

That crossrock bag looks funny though, I'd agree with you about the accident thing, problem is, not all of us really fancy lugging around the "piano" case, you see I commute, and carrying the case would inconvience me and other passengers, I wish there were "chainsaw" cases for tbirds like those from skbs.

You COULD build a thick soft case that protects as well or better than some hard cases as most of us know.

I know from years of seeing vintage Gibsons in hard cases that did not support the guitar properly, let alone provide shock protection...SG's not only get damaged at the headstock but the body to neck joint as well in the wrong hardcase....but I digress.
