thunderbird nut width

Im looking into buying a thunderbird used. I have noticed that some sellers say that the thunderbird has a nut width of 1.73 and some say that it has a width of 1.5. I have also noticed that some are made in Korea and i think the new ones are made in china.

Is this true, or are all the thunderbirds made the same width? If not which makes and years are which width?

Gibson Thunderbirds are built in the US. Nut width on the IV is 1.5".

The Epiphone Thunderbird IV has a nut width of 1.73".

I believe the epi goth t birds are at 1.5, but not the standard epi IV t birds!
