Because I think that the "neck-dive gang" must have a some kind of an early warning system which goes off with any an all threads which deals with Thunderbirds.
They are usually among the first to post and to point out that because of the horrid shape the bass is unplayable.

I've always had a strong dislike for the Lull headstocks. They don't look right to me on a Fender-type body. I think they look pretty good on a Thunderbird though.
I like the look of the Lull HS better than those on the Epi or Gibson T Birds.....
